Jogakbo 조각보 (Korean patchwork)
Jogakbo (조각보) is a type of traditional Korean patchwork that is often used for making wrapping cloths called bojagi (보자기). They are used in other domestic uses, such as window coverings, wall hangings, lampshades, clothing and more. The distinct flat seams make the fabric reversible.
For this specific piece, I hand dyed cotton fabric to create a specific color pallet, then machine stitched the pieces together.
